About

Why I support players

Growing up, I practised several sports and often wondered why some athletes — even talented, fast, powerful and intelligent ones — struggled to fulfil their potential.

What holds a player back? Why does progression sometimes stop, even when the commitment and ability appear to be present?

For more than 25 years, I have worked as a Business Analyst in cybersecurity, analysing complex environments, identifying obstacles and developing structured solutions. Over time, I realised that this analytical way of thinking could also bring real value to tennis coaching.

Players, however, are not systems. They are individuals, shaped by emotions, habits, beliefs, reactions under pressure, strengths and blind spots.

My coaching approach is built around understanding the person behind the player, identifying what most affects their development and translating that understanding into practical work on court.

I can work independently or in coordination with the player’s regular coach and support team.

My background

My background
Trained within the Swiss Tennis system and influenced by previous experiences in the United States, I support committed players through a modern, structured and performance-oriented approach.

My professional background has taught me to observe carefully, question assumptions, identify priorities and approach complex situations methodically. These skills now form an important part of the way I analyse tennis performance.I do not promise rankings, titles or a professional career.

I commit to providing honest feedback, clear priorities and a rigorous development process designed to help players progress sustainably and perform more consistently in competition.

My philosophy
Performance does not depend on one isolated quality.

It results from the interaction between technical ability, tactical understanding, physical readiness, mental skills, discipline and confidence.

Every player has a different profile. My role is to understand that profile and create a demanding, motivating and personalised environment aligned with the player’s objectives.

The aim is not only to correct strokes or improve isolated skills. It is to help the player understand their game, make better decisions and develop the ability to respond effectively under competitive pressure.

My approach

My coaching may include:

  • technical and tactical analysis;
  • match observation and performance assessment;
  • decision-making under pressure;
  • preparation for key moments;
  • development of individual performance routines;
  • tournament preparation and post-match review;
  • personalised development planning.

The work is structured around a continuous process:

Observe · Analyse · Prioritise · Train · Test · Adjust

Analysis only has value when it leads to practical changes in training and competition.

My mission
My mission is to help committed players structure their development, gain autonomy and perform closer to their capabilities when it matters most.

I aim to provide players with a clearer understanding of their game, more relevant training priorities and a development process that remains connected to the demands of competition.
